Position Title: Director of Surgical Services

Department:Operating Room
Position Description: The individual selected to fill this role will be responsible for:

· Managing the OR Department and associated staff.
· Assuring patient safety.
· Preparing written proposals, estimates, and analysis for supplies and capital expenditures.
· Developing and managing the operational budget as it relates to the OR Department.
· Determining staffing levels and training and developing staff.
· Maintaining and assisting in the pre, intra, and post operative processes.
· Developing and maintaining departmental processes, policies and procedures.
· Supporting and promoting CQI efforts.
· Participating in the Safety Committee activities.

Average Weekly Hours:40
The above wage range reflects the minimum, midpoint and maximum hourly rate for this position. New employees are hired between the minimum and midpoint of this range. The initial wage offered will be based on qualifications and experience.

    Qualifications:
    Education:BSN preferred.
    Experience:Five years operating room experience. Two years management experience. BCLS required; ACLS preferred.
    Special Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    Knowledge of JCAHO, State and local regulations as they pertain to the OR Department
    Computer Literacy
    License Required:Current R.N. license in the State of Michigan.
