Karla was nominated by her department coworkers. Karla is always available, more than competent, and a welcome face to our patients and everyone she interacts with. She is well know by all near and far for her talent for finding those impossible veins. She goes above and beyond to assist staff and patients. She goes to physician offices to do those hard draws for the benefit of our patients – now that’s commitment. Karla volunteers to do home draws, works at health fairs, and voluntarily serves on various fundraising committees for MRH. Karla’s manager noted that Karla was the first employee to receive the Hospital’s EE of the Month award when the program began. She deserved it then and she still remains true to those wonderful attributes that make her so deserving of the recognition now. Not a day goes by that Karla doesn’t go above and beyond.

An example of going above and beyond for our patients was when Michelle took time from her busy family life to volunteer to drive a new cancer patient to a support group 70 miles round trip at her own expense. She reflects this type of care with every patient she touches. Michelle is always willing to help out in other areas of the hospital. When she is not working, she is extremely involved with the extra-curricular activities of her twin daughters, Rachel and Jenni. Michelle exemplifies our vision – to build lifelong relationships that promote healthier, more productive lives and lifestyles.
