MARLETTE EXTENDED CARE FACILITY
Listed in Top 5 Nursing Homes in Michigan
Dedicated MRH Extended Care Facility Staff
Marlette Regional Hospital (MRH) is pleased to announce that the MRH Extended Care Facility, headed by department manager Diane Hogan, RN, was recognized in the February 2010 issue of the U.S. News & World Report in the article “America’s Best Nursing Homes” as one of the five best nursing homes in Michigan.
At a national level, 173 nursing homes were recognized. At a state level, five nursing homes, including MRH, were recognized in Michigan. In an evaluation by the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, all 173 nursing homes scored the highest possible rating- 5 stars overall. This recognition was based upon health inspections, nurse staffing, and performance in a range of quality measures.
Along with MRH, the following nursing homes made it in the top five for Michigan: Baraga County Memorial Hospital in L’Anse, Beaconshire Nursing Centre in Detroit, Bortz Health Care on Green Lake in Orchard Lake, and Marycrest Manor in Livonia. Among these five, MRH was one of only two not-for-profit nursing homes.
