It's About Living

United Hospice Service specializes in care during the last stage of life that allows patients to truly live until they die – without the fear of dying in pain, dying alone or losing control. When disease or illness cannot be cured, our goal is to treat and control symptoms such as nausea or pain.

The United Hospice Difference
United Hospice Service is unique. We not only want to meet your needs… we want to exceed your expectations. We offer the following advantages, above and beyond the required hospice guidelines.
  • Residential Hospice Unit located at Marlette Regional Hospital. There are six private suites for those who are unable to stay in their home setting.
  • Local Registered Nurses certified in hospice care by the National Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association.
  • Certified Nurse Assistants to help with personal care such as bathing, dressing and light housekeeping.
  • Admissions 24 hours a day, every day (even the same day as a hospital discharge).
  • Medications related to terminal illness are delivered to the patient’s home, paid for by UHS.
  • Services available for people wherever they call “home”.
  • More than 160 volunteers.
