Dr. Starbird Appointed As New Chief of Staff
William J. Starbird, M.D., F.A.A.F.P., Chief of Staff
Marlette, MI- The Marlette Regional Hospital (MRH) medical staff has recently appointed William J. Starbird, M.D., F.A.A.F.P., as the new Chief of Staff.
Dr. Starbird has served as a member of the active medical staff at MRH for the past 21 years. Now appointed as the Chief of Staff for the third time, Dr. Starbird serves as the liaison for the medical staff to the Chief Administrator, CEO Greg Roraff, and the Board of Trustees.
Other responsibilities that this position requires include: presiding at, and preparing all agendas for medical staff meetings; enforcing medical staff rules and regulations; promoting compliance with procedural safeguards; representing the views and policies of the medical staff to the Board of Trustees and to the Chief Administrator; and appointing committee members.
Dr. Starbird is Board Certified in Family Medicine and currently practices at MRH’s North Branch Family HealthCare with the assistance of Anita Schierlinger, MSN, FNP-BC. Dr. Starbird also serves as the Medical Director for the Sanilac Medical Control Authority. He is the Sanilac County Medical Examiner and the Chairman of the Quality Leadership Committee.
Dr. Starbird and his wife, Sandy, reside in North Branch. They have two children, William and Alex. |
