 | HEUSSNER MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT |
This year's John Heussner Golf Tournament was held on Saturday, June 17. Sponsors of this year's tournament raised over $10,000 for the mammography program!
Mick Heussner founded the annual John Heussner Memorial Golf Tournament in honor of his father, John Heussner. John Heussner served on the MRH Board of Directors for 18 years, and was chairman from 1970-1981. He was a dedicated family man, community leader, and businessman.
The tournament is hosted by the Marlette Golf Course. Teams of three participate in the event (27 teams maximum). There are three divisions: Men's, Women's, and Mixed. Players also compete for Longest drive - Ladies & Mens - on Hole #2, and Closest to Pin - Ladies and Men - on Hole # 3 and # 9. There is also a Putting Contest and a new addition, "The String Contest". Tournament winners, contest winners, special gift and prizes recipients are announced at the afternoon banquet after the completion of 18 holes.
