Marlette Regional Hospitalprovides a wide range of employee benefits.

Putting the pieces together to create outstanding value for our employees

Medical Plan
We provide a comprehensive Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Community Blue PPO medical health insurance product for eligible employees. Our coverage options include individual, two-person, and family.

Dental Plan
Our dental coverage, through MetLife Dental, includes Preventative, Basic, Major and Orthodontia services.

Vision Plan
Our vision coverage, through VSP of Blue Cross Blue Shield, includes Vision/Contact Lens Exam, Lenses, and Frames/Contact Lenses.

Life Insurance/Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Plan
To help provide financial security to you and your family members, we provide life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance coverage to our full-time and part-time employees. The level of coverage is based on employment status.


Voluntary Life Insurance
This insurance allows the option of providing life insurance coverage for your dependents as well as supplemental insurance for yourself.

Short-Term Disability
Disability insurance provides financial protection to you by paying a portion of your income should you become disabled while employed with us. We cover 100% the cost of short-term disability to eligible employees.

Long-Term Disability
Long-term disability insurance offers financial security beyond the limits of your short-term disability benefit. As an employee, you can purchase long-term disability through AFLAC.

Flexible Spending Account Plan
With a flexible spending account, you have additional tax savings opportunities. This plan allows you to reimburse yourself for routine health care and dependent day care expenses with tax-free dollars.

401(K) with Employer Matching Dollars
We maintain an excellent retirement program for eligible employees. Our 401(K) plan allows you to set aside a portion of your pay each pay period in convenient pre-tax payroll deductions. It also lets you enjoy discretionary basic contributions as well as discretionary matching contributions from us based on the amount you save. It gives you investment options, so you can select the investment strategy that makes the most sense for you and the flexibility to change how you save and invest your money.

Other Benefits
In addition to the plans outlined above, Marlette Regional Hospital offers additional benefit programs, including the following:

Aflac
Additional personal insurance policies can be obtained through Aflac; cancer and accident indemnity plans, intensive care insurance, disability income protection, etc.

Direct Deposit
Your paycheck may be deposited directly into a checking and/or savings account of your choice.

Employee Assistance Plan
We all need a little help every now and then. This program is designed to assist employees and their dependents through difficult personal issues such as relationship/marriage problems, life changes, family issues, stress/emotional issues, financial problems, and alcohol and drug dependency.

Shift Differentials
Shift differentials are paid for afternoon and night shift work according to job classifications.

Educational Reimbursement Program
We believe continuing education and career advancement of employees is important. To promote our philosophy, we provide educational reimbursement to full- and part-time employees. We also provide on-site CEU’s through our Continuous Learning Center.

Wellness Center
We provide access to our on-site wellness center. This benefit gives our employees access to state-of-the-art exercise equipment and our wellness programs to stop smoking, assist with weight loss, and other life enhancing programs. We also provide yearly health testing through our Wellness program.

Merchant Discounts
This program provides special employee discounts through participating merchants for amusement parks, cellular phones, club memberships, office supplies, etc.

Paid Hours Off (PHOs)
We use an all-encompassing Paid Hours Off system for vacation, personal, holiday, and sick time. This approach provides for the creation of a "PHO" account for each eligible employee into which the Hospital places accrual hours each pay period. Payment for any time off is made to you from your "PHO" account. The rate at which you accumulate funds in your account is determined by your status and years of service with the Hospital.

Worker's Compensation
Medical care and partial replacement of wages for on-the-job injuries are available through Worker's Compensation insurance. This benefit is paid entirely by the Hospital and is available to you immediately upon becoming an employee.

Sick Kid Kare
We provide care for your sick child while you are working, pending certain screening criteria are met.

Social Security
Contributions to Social Security are paid by both Marlette Regional Hospital and you.
