The Marlette Regional Hospital (MRH) foundation provides a working link between the hospital and the communities we serve.
The goal of the MRH foundation is to build support, involvement and lasting relationships with employees, medical staff, volunteers, donors and those we service as well as those with whom we communicate. The foundation strives to increase the number of people in each of these groups, while strengthening the relationship that each group has with the hospital.
The Foundation Development Council consists of three committees of community volunteer leaders, each managing programs that communicate with, cultivate, solicit and recognize specific groups. These programs increase:
Some of these notable programs include the Friends of MRH club, the annual “Driving for Health” golf outing and the Tree of Shining Love.
When the MRH Foundation Development Council was established in 2008, MRH asked Terry Haske to be the chairman. As chairman, Haske helps to identify community needs and desires and communicates them to the organization. He has also organized and supported the coordination of an extensive network of community and business leaders who work toward promoting healthier, more productive lives and lifestyles within the entire service area of MRH.
Haske is familiar with MRH. Since 1970, he and his wife, Josephine, have lived in Marlette and have seen the hospital experience tremendous growth. In the early 1990s, Haske served as chairman of the steering committee that facilitated the successful capital campaign for the MRH emergency room expansion. Additionally, he has served on the MRH corporate board for more than 20 years.
Haske has degrees in accounting, economics and business administration from Western Michigan University and was the former president of Ricker & Haske Certified Public Accountants, P.C. He is currently employed by Anderson, Tuckey, Bernhardt and Doran, P.C.
